Tyler Biggs, MA

Tyler Biggs (MA Mental Health Counseling, TIU ’26) is a Resident Clinical Counselor at Spring Tree Counseling. He’s worked in a variety of settings before moving into counseling ranging from non-profit leadership development to college student mentoring to project management for a digital faith organization. With over a decade of experience in mentoring and leadership, Tyler holds vast experience working with high-capacity individuals.

This world can expect so much from so many of us, and Tyler is well-acquainted with the pressure to over-perform and under-recover. For men in particular, the expectation to provide some tangible service to the world and “prove” one’s worth has shown up often with clients Tyler has worked with. This expectation leads some to excel beyond their wildest dreams. But for many, it is simply a burden too heavy to bear, often manifesting as deep anxiety, panic, or obsessive-compulsive cycles. One of Tyler’s goals is to help men who are straining under the immense pressures of life.

Over the course of Tyler’s career, he’s worked with a variety of young adults entering new phases of life—new careers, new romantic relationships, new faith experiences, new understandings of their sexuality, new responsibilities with aging parents. These moments can feel like crises, and it’s important to have someone helping you through the winding road of the journey.

Most heroes from our favorite stories have an ally guiding them toward healing, both in the world around them and inside themselves. Tyler’s hope is to be that safe ally, working collaboratively with his clients to bind up wounds, manage anxiety, and grow resilience. He provides clients with new tools for the struggle and support in finding healing. To ensure he is providing the best care possible, Tyler works closely under the supervision of Travis Booth, MA, LCPC.

Life can be hard, and finding healing alone is nearly impossible. But through help, it is possible to not only survive life but thrive in it.
