Antoinette Panganiban, Graduate Clinical Intern

Antoinette is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Adams State University. She also serves as an Employment Specialist at Impact Behavioral Health Partners, where she provides vocational counseling to adults living with a wide range of mental health conditions. Raised as a first-generation Filipino American, Antoinette brings a cross-cultural perspective to her work and has a deep passion for supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds as they navigate identity, belonging and life transitions.

Antoinette values the multi-faceted nature of human experience and believes that our cultural identities, histories, and relationships shape how we understand ourselves and the world. Her primary therapeutic approach is psychodynamic, helping clients explore what may not yet be fully conscious and bringing deeper awareness to long-standing patterns, emotions, and relational dynamics. She integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and attachment-based interventions to support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and the development of healthier, more secure relationships. In sessions, clients can expect a thoughtful balance of support and opportunity to explore, unlearn and relearn parts of themselves with curiosity and compassion.

Many people come to therapy feeling like they need to be “fixed.” With me, the work is not about fixing who you are, but about guiding you toward a deeper understanding of the strengths, resilience, and wisdom that already exist within you. I believe we learn best through example, and so I strive to model compassion to my clients, with the hope that they can begin to offer that same compassion to themselves. Ultimately, my hope is for clients to build a stronger sense of self-esteem and self-trust; roots that can support them across many areas of life.
