Cathrina Kok is a graduate clinical intern currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling at Moody Theological Seminary. Previously she obtained a Bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies through the University of Wisconsin Madison. For the past 5 years. Cathrina has found joy in working in Ministry as a vocation where she has served with children, teenagers, families, young adults, and women. From
ministry, she has walked with a variety of individuals experiencing grief, anxiety, trauma, emotional abuse, and more. Additionally, as an Asian-American, her desire is to create a safe, non-judgmental, space for individuals of all cultures to discuss mental health challenges. Through gentleness, patience, and empathic listening Cathrina utilizes a cognitive behavioral approach to embolden clients who seek change as well as a family
systems method to dive into unhealthy relationships. She understands that all people walk the path of healing in their own time and way and considers it a privilege to join them in the process. Cathrina works under the careful supervision of Deanna Roberts, MA, LCPC, BC-DMT and weekly faculty supervision through Moody Theological Seminary.
Taking the first step into counseling can be scary and difficult as it can feel isolating dealing with your own broken pieces. I wish to come alongside of you as we carefully tease out the source of pain and discover how our life challenges can become our strength. Together, we can look back with pride on each step we take and see the beautiful mosaic we create from your broken pieces.
