Rebecca Foster, Graduate Clinical Intern

Rebecca is pursuing her M.A. degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at North Park University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Germanic Studies from the University of Chicago. After spending over a decade working with college students and young adults in campus ministry settings, she is pursuing a new career in counseling. She is excited to more deeply engage with others on their dynamic journeys of healing, growth, and transformation.

Rebecca brings a wealth of life experiences to her work as a counselor and deeply values warmth, collaboration, and compassion. She practices counseling through an integrated lens, drawing upon relational, narrative, and psychodynamic therapies. Her work with clients is tailored towards each client’s desires, goals, and needs.

Rebecca works closely under the supervision of Melody Charles-Van Der Werff MA, LCPC in addition to weekly faculty supervision from her program at North Park University.

Life is complex and can be full of challenges. We each have our own unique identities and stories. Counseling is a space where you can be fully yourself. I seek to be a compassionate witness and guide as you unpack what’s really going on for you and pursue growth and healing.

Perinatal/postpartum mood disorders or adjustment, parents/parenting concerns, teens, anxiety, relationships, life transitions, sexuality, grief and loss, spiritual or religious trauma or concerns.
